SSG is a fully integrated real estate investment, development, and construction company located in the heart of Boston’s historic Leather District. Our focus is on creating state-of-the-art, self-storage and mixed-use developments. We have developed over 1.6 million square feet of Class-A self-storage in core, high barrier to entry markets, along the East Coast - from Boston to South Florida.
SSG has evolved over the years since its founding in 2006 as Self Storage Group (“SSG”). The company’s mission was to identify properties for redevelopment into ground up, purpose built, Class A self-storage facilities. A short time later, SSG Development was formed.
SSG Development is comprised of a dedicated team of seasoned professionals who value the communities in which we live and work. Best-use designs based on a thorough analysis of each site and its surrounding market, risk assessment, and collaboration with local officials and area residents, consistently ensure each project’s success. We offer unique solutions that maximize the true financial potential for each site. Our portfolio is representative of this and now includes not only self storage but a mix of self storage, retail, commercial, and/or residential development.
Since quality is a core belief at SSG, and to reinforce our commitment to excellence, we founded SSG Construction. SSG Construction works closely with our development team to ensure quality from start to finish.
Whether you know us as Self Storage Group, SSG Development, or SSG Construction, we are one family of companies that share a common goal of excellence. We are SSG.
